Acrylic Aquariums

Acrylic aquariums are always preferred over others as acrylic is 17 times stronger than glass, softer than glass, and more flexible than glass, making it far more impact resistant and not nearly as prone to chip or crack as acrylic insulates 20% better than glass.
Where normal aquarium glass adds a green tint - acrylic aquariums remain crystal clear. But make sure that the bottom of your aquarium is fully supported by your aquarium stand. If you have any gaps in the structural integrity of your aquarium, it is much more prone to breaks and leaks.

Fish Aquariums

Keeping fish aquariums is fun. But there are a few basic things that you will need to know before beginning your new hobby. Your biggest chore in caring for fish will be changing their water. No matter how effective and advanced your filter system is, it cannot extract all waste materials that accumulate. The best time to replace or clean filters is while changing water. That way, debris that has been stirred up and moved into the filter, can be cleansed with the water.

The fish aquariums should not be placed in direct sunlight since this can adversely affect the temperature of the tank. All fish aquariums should have a cover to prevent evaporation of water and to keep those leaping fish in the tank. Finally make a choice between live plants or plastic plants to be kept in the aquarium. Live plants look better and help form a natural eco system.
